43 year old Christopher Clay Smith (DOB 10/16/1970) is wanted for statutory rape, sodomy and furnishing pornography to a minor out of Warrensburg, Missouri. On September 13th, his white Ford F150 truck was found abandoned on Cadwell Lane on Big Pine Key. Neighbors in the area said it may have been there for as long as a month.
On the floorboard of the truck, deputies recovered a page from a notebook with a note which might indicate suicidal tendencies. A copy of a life insurance policy was also found in the truck.
A thorough search of the area was completed, and photos of Smith were shown to people living in the area and to businesses in the area but no one could recall seeing him. Smith is a truck driver by trade. He is five foot eight inches tall, 180 – 200 pounds with brown hair or possibly bald.Anyone with information about Smith should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 305-289-2351.
