Death investigation

Sheriff’s detectives responded to reports of a dead body on board a sailboat offshore of Key West near Wisteria Island this morning.

A man called the Coast Guard this morning to report seeing the body. The Coast Guard then notified the Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit have confirmed the presence of a body and are currently investigating the circumstances of the death.
