Two more men have been charged in connection with vehicle burglaries in the Stock Island neighborhood of Key Haven.
Several vehicles were burglarized. In one case, the suspects were caught on surveillance video burglarizing a vehicle on Birchwood Drive. While Deputy Lazaro Valdez was investigating the crimes, he found a wallet on the ground belonging to 19 year old Vladamir Estele. Detectives later visited Estele at his home on 3rd Avenue. At that point Estele admitted entering several vehicles in the area of Key Haven.
The surveillance video showed three people committing the crimes together. Further investigation revealed the other two suspects were 20 year old Steeve Steevenson and 18 year old Ashley Avilmar, both of Stock Island. This week, they were both arrested and charged with two counts of vehicle burglary and one count of grand theft.
