A 38 year old woman was found dead in the yard of a Stock Island home early Sunday.
The woman was staying with a friend at a home on 5thAvenue. The friend walked outside at 7:45 a.m. and found her unresponsive in the side yard of the house. She called 911 for help. Deputies and paramedics responded. She was pronounced dead at the scene and may have been dead for several hours at that time.
There were no obvious signs of foul play and an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of her death. Detectives are asking that her name not be released until they have the opportunity to locate next of kin and let them know about her death.
