A man was stabbed by another man at the Beach Road Trip event in Islamorada Sunday night.
Friends of the victim – 33 year old Roger Harrison of New York
told deputies they were at the event when a fight broke out between the victim and the suspect about 9:45 p.m. During the altercation, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen.
A security guard at the event was able to briefly detain the suspect, but the suspect managed to escape. Detectives are working with the victim and a number of witnesses to identify the suspect. The suspect is described as a light skinned black male with a thin build, approximately five foot seven inches tall, 110 pounds wearing all white clothing.
The victim was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami for treatment of the stab wounds. Investigations are continuing.
