Update: The 3-year-old boy pulled from the hotel pool was listed in stable condition at Miami Children’s Hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.
CPR performed on small child
A 3-year-old child was airlifted to a Miami hospital Monday evening after being found at the bottom of a Marathon hotel pool.
The child was found in the Hyatt Place pool shortly before 7 p.m.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded and arrived to find an off-duty Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer and an off-duty doctor already performing CPR. The child began to breath shortly thereafter. The child was conscious when it was airlifted to Miami via Trauma Star.
