A man was arrested Friday morning after he was found passed-out behind the wheel of stolen car parked in Tavernier Towne Center.
Zacharia John Vinczencz, 28, was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and possession of pills without a prescription.
Upper Keys Det. Ben Elmore responded to the scene at 9:52 a.m. and found a man, later identified as Vinczencz, passed out behind the wheel. A check of the tag on the Honda Civic revealed it was stolen out of Hollywood, Florida. Vinczencz was arrested. He told deputies he got into an argument with his girlfriend, took her car and left.
Vinczencz was found to be in possession of five painkiller pills without a prescription.
Vinczencz was taken to jail.
