A 39-year-old California man was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office Thursday morning after the FBI alerted MCSO Command Staff on Wednesday that he may be living in the Florida Keys.
Jason David Adams, wanted on a warrant for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, had been living on the 2400 block of Palm Beach Road on Big Pine Key.
He was arrested by Lower Keys Detectives and Deputies who found him at a construction site in Key West where he was taken into custody without incident.
Adams reportedly fled a warrant issued in Sacramento, California for sexually abusing a 10-year-old. The warrant was issued on April 19.
Adams remains in jail in Key West under no bail. He will be returned to California to face the charges.
