A 54-year-old Barnwell, South Carolina woman rushed to 3 N. Conch Ave. on Conch Key by boat Tuesday afternoon was pronounced dead at Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon.
Doctors there pronounced Carol Morris Carroll dead at 1:20 p.m.
There are no indications of foul play.
Carroll had been out with family at a sandbar off Long Key when Carroll collapsed in the water.
They began CPR and brought her to shore. Responding Deputies and paramedics continued CPR.
Autopsy reports are pending.
