District One underwent their annual inspection recently. Captain Don Hiller and Lt. Donnie Elomina were joined by Sheriff Rick Ramsay and Major Lou Caputo as they inspected vehicles, uniforms and weapons to make sure they were all clean, sharp and in working order. Major Caputo even brought along some Q-tips to make sure gun barrels were squeaky clean. Afterward, they all enjoyed a meal prepared by the Lower Keys detectives, including roast pork, black beans and rice.
