The human remains found in a wooded area off of College Road on Stock Island Monday have been identified as 53 year old William Brian Norton. He was identified using dental records, with the assistance of family members who live in Naples, Florida.
Norton’s sister said she last spoke with him in May of 2013. She said at that time he was homeless and “living on the beach”. She said he was known to have many medical issues.
Detectives say there is no evidence of foul play in Norton’s death.
