Stinger spike training

Deputies throughout the county have been practicing the fine art of throwing the Stinger Spike system. In the photo, Sgt. Susan Keene’s squad in the Upper Keys practices with the spikes. The Stinger Spike system is used to stop a fleeing car by puncturing it's tires. The spikes cause the tires to slowly deflate so the car stops safely.
