Sheriff’s Office seeks help in $800 theft case

 Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public to help them identify the white or Hispanic male seen in front in the attached photo entering the OfficeMax in Key West last month.

The suspect is wanted for questioning regarding the theft of a cell phone, credit cards and identification card that occurred on Dec. 21, 2018. The victim stated the suspect came to her house on Stock Island trying to sell her a satellite dish package, but she declined. She then noticed her cell phone and credit cards missing. She then went to the Metro PCS store on Stock Island to cancel her cell phone when the clerk told her the suspect had used one of her credit cards to make a $93 purchase. The victim then went to her bank to cancel her credit cards.

The  victim learned the suspect had spent not only $93 at the cell phone store, but $500 at Jolly’s Liquor Store on Stock Island as well $536 at OfficeMax in Key West, $74 at Amy’s Liquor Store in Key West and more than $148 at Exxon Mobile on three separate charges for a total of $846.80.
